Jay Chaffee
Jay S. Chaffee has been a musician for over twenty years. During that time he has studied classical guitar, classical piano, jazz bass and music theory and is a fan of all styles of music. In 2001 he was asked to play bass for Rochester New York band Omniblank and spent the next three years touring and recording in support of the bands album “Birth of a firefly”. Omniblank enjoyed success with the single “circles” that went to #13 on the industry charts and things looked good with tour dates along side other bands such as Adema, Dope and Vince Neil. In 2003 Omniblank disbanded and Jay continued to perform with the band eyes inward and started doing session work in western New York where he met current band mate Jay j. Palermo who had just finished recording a solo album “Abstract” Jay co wrote the song “my obsession” and was asked to tour with Jay J. Palermo’s live band and is featured on the live DVD “Abstract Live”. Currently Jay continues to do session work with bands in the western N.Y. area and is currently writing and recording the first album for the band “From Blue Ruins”.
